Gong Xi Fa Cai! Shining Stars is gearing up for a vibrant celebration of Chinese New Year, and we're inviting all our little stars to join the fun! Our nursery is being transformed into a wonderland of cultural discovery, filled with exciting activities and a whole lot of learning.
All our activities about Chinese New Year for preschoolers are designed to develop specific skills.
This week the children will be working on their fine motor skills with craft activities to celebrate Saint Dwynwen’s Day, with lots of sticking and colouring whilst getting a better understanding of the world around them.
Learning is seamlessly integrated at Shining Stars. This week’s play will include the Chinese playhouse Restaurant, a fun way to reintroduce colours and will build confidence in the children.
For those of you eager to reinforce Welsh language skills at home, the word we will be introducing at snack time is “Diolch” and we will use some simple phrases in Welsh to ask for something: “Ga-i…” (Can I have…).
Join us in making this winter season a time of joy, growth, and discovery for our little stars. The children will love listening to the story about Saint Dwynwen’s Day - (Please click to view on Youtube) for The story of Saint Dwynwen.
